The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a public hearing to provide area residents an opportunity to testify about South Field Energy, LLC’s proposal to construct a new natural gas powered electric generating facility in Columbiana County.
This public hearing will provide you with an opportunity to voice your concerns about how natural gas powered plants will affect coal mining jobs in our region.
Coal miners throughout the Ohio Valley region have endured significant threats during the previous few years. Many of those threats are a result of special deals for natural gas powered plants that have come at the expense of local coal mining jobs.
